That's not Norman Rockwell, is it?
---------------------------------------
Rockwell worked with Proctor & Gamble and produced some Ivory Ads, but from our research, his signature appears in each advertisement. Given Rockwell's status as an artist, he would most certainly be credited in any printed materials he produced. His work was cherished in the USA, we believe this ad is from one of the many artists who emulated his style. While we were researching your question, we also found that this Ivory ad is actually older then realized, the circa is closer to the 1910 - 1920 era.

It doesn't really look like a Norman Rockwell rendering, but it sure looks wonderful!
Surely, some of the jocks in that picture had more on their minds than sweeping away all the dirt and soap from their bodies - their teammates bodies as well, no doubt.

Totally agree, and I've never seen a nude in a Rockwell drawing. Rather a risqué ad for Ivory soap almost 100 years ago.
Stay tuned, we've got a lot more being posted the rest of the year, including one where the guys are all bathing together. Hmmm..... good thing IVORY floats!
